Who’s the Boss?

As leaders in our professions, our jobs are to motivate, educate, and delegate.

As followers of Jesus, our job is to “Go and make disciples”. (Matthew 28:19)

Just like our earthly bosses expect us to do the job they hire us to do, our heavenly Boss does too. God gives each one of us different gifts to facilitate the job He gave us to do… and He expects us to use them.

Do you understand the assignment? This means lots of things.

Spread out.

Take Him to your workplace.

Take Him on your vacation.

Take Him to your school.

Take Him to your homes and marriages.

Take Him to your girls’ or guys’ night out.

GO. And He promises to be with us as we do.

Go and make followers of all the nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to do all the things I have told you. And I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT)

The best followers make the best leaders. That being said, “Who are you following?”

Are you getting and staying as close to Him as possible? Are you asking what your gift is? Are you using it in some form? What more can we do for our own personal Savior considering He’s the one who not only gave us life but gave His own up for ours?

Our callings (jobs) are as varied as our circumstances, locations, professions, families, or lack thereof…He gifts and uses each of us differently.

So go. Do your job. He’s already done His.

Motivate others in their walk with Him, educate others by what you learn, and delegate others to share too. He’s with you.
